What are Passenger Assessments?
Passenger assessments are a great for people who experience difficulty accessing to or from a vehicle. By coming to the centre a wide range of equipment is available that can reduce or eliminate the physical effort required during transfers. It’s also a good time to explore, in general, safe transfers, travelling needs, vehicle suitability and equipment options.
Gwyn’s Assessment
Gwyn is wheelchair dependent for his mobility and came along to the centre as part of his in patient care plan at Rockwood Hospital. The assessment helped him explore the options for safe travel so he could continue to enjoy getting out and about.
Since his assessment he has taken part in a charity walk with Wales former professional rugby player Gareth Thomas.
